Legacy Giving
Remembering the Schreiber Center in your future gift plans allows you to leave a legacy that ensures care for future generations of children with special needs.
Sharing your decision to leave a legacy gift to the Schreiber Center allows you to detail how you would like your gift used. It also allows us to thank you now and recognize you as a member of the Schreiber Center’s 1936 Society
Bequests and Estate Plans
A charitable gift from your estate is a favored method of giving that enables you to achieve your financial goals and benefit the Schreiber Center. No other planned gift is as simple to make or as easy to change should you ever need the assets during your lifetime.
To include the Schreiber Center in a will or living trust, you can use this simple paragraph:
“I give, devise and bequeath to Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation and a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Federal Tax ID Number 23-1365369, the sum of (or % of my estate), (or other personal property herein described) to be used for its general programs in patient care, medical education and research as it shall determine.”
Most donors do not need to re-write their will – a simple codicil is usually sufficient and leaves your other estate plans in place.
Life Insurance
You can provide a future gift to the Schreiber Center by naming ‘Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development’ as the owner and beneficiary of a fully paid-up whole life insurance policy. Once received, the Schreiber Center cashes out the policy and applies the proceeds to our Kids’ Care Fund. This is an easy way to make a significant impact from an unneeded asset.
