Why Choose Food Discovery Camp?
Specialized Focus
The camp is specifically designed for children ages 5-8 with non-medical feeding challenges, providing tailored support and strategies.
Experienced Staff:
Our camp director, Occupational Therapist Emily Beddow, has over 26 years of expertise in pediatric therapy and specializes in non-medical feeding therapy.
Positive and Pressure-Free
We prioritize creating a fun and relaxed environment where children can explore new foods without pressure or stress.
Results Beyond Camp
The camp helps children develop healthy eating habits and positive attitudes toward food. It’s not just about what they eat during camp, but what they become open to trying or making in the future. Even foods they’ve previously refused.

Daily Themes at Camp
Day 1: Mac & Cheese Day
Our camp counselors take kid-friendly food and help campers make small changes using varying recipes that do not stray too far from the typically well-liked and familiar food.
Day 2: Bread Day
We focus on using ingredients that may or may not be eaten by putting them into a different form such as waffles and pancakes. We also focus on “making do” when we are faced with a familiar or even preferred food that is made slightly differently, asking campers ‘How can we make small changes to the food so that it becomes edible?’
Day 3: ‘Fry’ Day
Using the beloved French fry and other stick foods our counselors teach campers how their safe foods that often comes from McDonald’s or the freezer is actually made.
