Support inclusive classrooms where children of all abilities learn and grow together

Volunteer with S.T.A.R.S. Preschool

S.T.A.R.S. Preschool serves children ages 3–5 in an inclusive classroom environment designed to support social, emotional, and academic growth.

Volunteers assist with classroom activities and help support a consistent, encouraging environment for students throughout the school year.

Required Clearances & Application

To volunteer with S.T.A.R.S. Preschool, the following clearances are required:

If you already have any of these clearances and they are valid within the last 60 months, we will gladly accept those documents. Upon receipt of each of the three clearances, please submit the online application and be prepared to upload your documents at the end of the online application.


Volunteer with Circle of Friends Academy

Circle of Friends Academy provides inclusive childcare for infants through Pre-K. Volunteers help support teachers and children through classroom assistance, meal preparation, reading, activities, and daily routines.

Your time and consistency help create a safe, nurturing environment where children of all abilities can learn and grow together.

Required Clearances, Training, & Application

To volunteer with Circle of Friends Academy, the following clearances and training are required:

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification 
Free for volunteers

Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record Check 
Free for volunteers

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal History Clearance Cost of $23.85 | When scheduling an appointment with IdentoGo, use service code: 1KG6ZJ

National Sex Offender Registry Verification 
Free for volunteers

Mandated Reporter Training 
Free for volunteers
