This a high-energy, family-focused day will be packed with races, games, prizes, food, and fun! Plus every race registration and adopted duckie empowers children with disabilities and developmental delays right here in our community.

A Full Afternoon of Family Fun

Duckie Dash
Our one-mile Duckie Dash welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Run, walk, or roll as an individual or gather friends, family, or coworkers to join the fun together.
Duckling Dash
Kids ages 12 and under can take part in the 100M Duckling Dash and enjoy the excitement of crossing the finish line, earning a medal, and being celebrated like a champion.

Family Fun Festival
The fun continues all afternoon with a festival filled with activities for the whole family.
Enjoy carnival-style games, pony rides, food trucks, prizes, music, community partners, and hands-on activities for kids of all abilities. Whether you’re cheering on a runner, adopting a duckie, or just coming out to celebrate, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
It’s a fun day of community, connection, and play that supports local kids and families.

It takes an incredible team of volunteers to make the Duckie Race & Festival possible.
We’re looking for individuals, families, community groups, and corporate teams to help with event setup, games, registration, activities, and festival logistics throughout the weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I adopt a duck?
Starting in June 2026 you can adopt a single duck or a whole flock online. Every duck you adopt gets entered into our giveaway for a chance to win prizes!
Do I need to be present to win?
Nope! If you win our giveaway we will contact you using the info you provided at checkout.
What does my adoption support?
Your duck adoption directly supports the cost of uncompensated care for physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for children at Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development.
What’s the difference between the Duckie Dash and Duckling Dash?
The Duckie Dash is a 1-mile fun run for all ages and abilities. The Duckling Dash is a shorter 100-meter race just for kids of all abilities 12 and under.
Do I need to register in advance?
We encourage early registration to guarantee your spot.
Can I walk instead of run?
Absolutely! This event is about fun and inclusion, not speed. Strollers, wheelchairs, walkers, and other medically necessary mobility devices are all welcome.
Are pets allowed on the race course?
No. Pets are not permitted on the race course. Service dogs are welcome.
Do I need tickets for the festival?
The festival is free to attend but in order to play games you will need to purchase festival tickets separately from the race.
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes! We designed the entire day for families of all kinds, with games, activities, and plenty of space to play.
Will there be food at the event?
Definitely! Various food vendors will also be on site with selections available for purchase.
What happens if it rains?
We race rain or shine! Most of our festivities can continue under tents or shelter, but check our website or social media for weather-related updates.
How do I sign up to volunteer?
You can sign-up online through Civic Champs to volunteer on Friday, September 11th to help with race course set up or on Sunday, September 13th to help with race day set up, logistics, and tear down.
Can my business sponsor the event?
Yes! We love working with local businesses to bring this event to life. Sign up to sponsor this event below!
Will sponsors be recognized at the event?
Absolutely! Sponsors receive promotion leading up to and during the event on signs, online, and in print materials.
