  • What is this year’s event date?

Our Rubber Duckie Race & Festival will be held on Sunday, September 10 at Lancaster County Central Park. The festival kicks off at 2 pm and our ceremonial duck race will begin at 5 pm (river conditions permitting).

Is this a rain or shine event?

Yes, and new this year, we’ll have an extra-large tent that will cover most of the games and activities so fun can be had despite the raindrops.

What activities will take place at the Festival?

Free to attend, our festival will feature a craft tent, DJ and food truck alley. A midway with carnival games is available with the purchase of game tickets. And of course, our ceremonial duck race will take place at 5 pm.

    What is this year’s theme?

We’re having a Duckie Reunion! We’re bringing back ducks of yesteryear for one last go-around.

    When do Duckie sales launch?

Our Duckie sales season kicked off on Sunday, June 25 in partnership with the Lancaster Barnstormers. We celebrated Cylo’s birthday, handed out copies of our new Duckie storybook and launched our duckie sales.

How can I purchase a duck?

Visit our dedicated duckie ticket site to purchase yours today!

Duckie ticket costs and packages are as follows:

    • $5: Single Duck and One Raffle Entry
    • $25: 6 Ducks and Raffle Entries
    • $100: 24 Ducks and Raffle Entries
    • $1,000: 240 Ducks and Raffle Entries

With your purchase, you may elect to receive a commemorative duck(s). Each duck purchased = one entry into our raffle drawing taking place on Sunday, September 10.

What if I want to purchase a duckie ticket with cash or check?

We’ll gladly accept cash and check payment. Stop by Schreiber during regular business hours to make your purchase.

Does the Duckie Race determine prize winners?

In year’s past, yes. However, with unpredictable water levels, obstructions in the river and duckie’s sneaking past the net and river volunteers, we believe the most fair way to offer prizes is with a raffle drawing.

Don’t worry, we’ll still host a commemorative duckie race at 5 pm on Sunday, September 10 at Lancaster County Central Park.

How do I purchase an event t-shirt?

T-shirts are only available to event-day volunteers; they are not for sale.

How can I sign-up to volunteer at the event?

Visit Schreiber’s volunteer webpage to learn more and complete our event volunteer application.

Can I sign up to be a duckie seller?

Absolutely. Contact Kristen at 717-393-0425 ext. 105 or via email at kmasengarb@schreiberpediatric.org.

Can I sell duckies at my business?

Absolutely. Contact Kristen at 717-393-0425 ext. 105 or via email at kmasengarb@schreiberpediatric.org.

    Are sponsorship opportunities still available?

Yes. Please visit our online sponsorship page.
