Join us for a special two-hour celebration honoring 90 years of empowering children of all abilities. This family-friendly birthday party is our way of celebrating the children and families who inspire us every day and saying thank you for being part of the Schreiber story.
Throughout the evening, families will be invited to explore photos and memories from across the decades, enjoy meaningful milestones from Schreiber’s journey, and take part in simple, joyful activities designed with children of all abilities in mind. Special treats and birthday-themed fun will help make the celebration memorable for kids and families alike.
This relaxed, welcoming event is designed to bring our community together to celebrate how far we’ve come and the children who continue to shape who we are.
There is no cost to attend, and families are welcome to stop by at any point during the celebration. Siblings are encouraged to join in the fun.

Help us celebrate 90 years of empowering kids of all abilities by volunteering at this fun birthday party for our Schreiber families. Volunteers will support activity stations, crafts, games, desserts, and more.
90 Years of Empowering Abilities
Schreiber’s story began in 1936, when local nurse Edna Schreiber founded the Lancaster County Society for Crippled Children in response to the polio epidemic. What started as a small effort to help children walk, play, and thrive grew into the community cornerstone known today as the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development.
Over the decades, the Schreiber Center has evolved, but one thing has never changed: we have remained the premier place for children of all abilities to discover their strength, their voice, and their potential.
As we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to become a monthly donor, providing the steady support that helps every child empower their abilities and reach their fullest potential for the next 90 years.
