EITC Program
Redirect your Pennsylvania tax dollars to support children and families at Schreiber.
Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, eligible businesses can support Schreiber’s inclusive preschool, childcare, recreation, and educational programs while receiving significant state tax credits.
Support Schreiber Through EITC
Businesses may direct EITC contributions to one or both eligible program categories at Schreiber:
Educational Improvement Organization
Schreiber is an approved Educational Improvement Organization (EIO).
Through partnerships with Lancaster County high schools, Schreiber provides supplemental learning opportunities focused on:
- Childcare
- Human services
- Disability inclusion
These programs create meaningful educational experiences for students while supporting children and families served at Schreiber.
High school students may volunteer throughout the year with:
- Circle of Friends Academy
- S.T.A.R.S. Preschool
- Respite programs
- Club 625
- Camp Schreiber
These service-learning opportunities help students fulfill graduation requirements while gaining hands-on experience in education, healthcare, and community service.

Prekindergarten Scholarship Organization (PKSO)
Schreiber is also an approved Prekindergarten Scholarship Organization (PKSO).
Contributions in this category help subsidize tuition for qualifying low-income families attending:
- S.T.A.R.S. Preschool
- Circle of Friends Academy
Since the 1970s, Schreiber has provided inclusive early childhood education that brings together typically developing children and peers with special needs in supportive learning environments.
Children who require therapy services may also receive therapy while attending preschool or childcare, helping families access coordinated care and support in one setting.
