  • Child Care Providers (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary

    In this position you will help develop and implement educational programs for children 6 wks. to five years old in the Child Care settings in cooperation with the child’s family, outside agencies, and staff members.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Ensure the provision of nutritious snacks and lunches
    • Provide adequate equipment and activities
    • Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
    • Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities
    • Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities
    • Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts
    • Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies
    • Be familiar with emergency procedures
    • Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities and their child’s progress
    • Develop and maintain current, accurate and confidential client files
    • Ensure children are supervised at all times
    • Establish routines and provide positive guidance
    • Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
    • Implement positive discipline when required
    • Participate in 2 Schreiber Center activities a year – Annual Gala, Softball Weekend, Rubber Duckie Race & Festival are just a few examples.

    Education and Experience

    A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.

  • Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapists (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary
    The Outpatient Mental Health/Behavioral Health Therapist will be responsible for providing clinical therapy services to a wide range of diagnosis to children 3-20 and their families.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provide mental health/behavioral health/play therapy to clients within the scope of training/experience/licensure
    • Respond to crises as necessary and make recommendations to keep the client safe
    • Reports immediately any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Director of Behavioral Health, appropriate individuals within Schreiber, and the Child Abuse Hotline
    • Establishes relationships and communicates with clients, their family members, caseworkers, Primary Care Physicians, Psychiatrist, and other Behavioral Health Services to collaborate and advocate for the services needed
    • Identifies and seeks resolution for potential problems arising with all involved parties
    • Completes Intake Assessments, ensures all paperwork is completed and signed by the parents/client/responsible person, ensures all paperwork is up to date, completes daily treatment notes after every session, completes treatment plans with measurable goals, coordinates with other professionals regarding treatment, submits billing, completes discharge summaries, and completes documentation for caseload within 48 hours of the session.
    • Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines of the profession as well as adhere to documentation and billing requirements of insurance companies
    • Adhere to Telehealth regulations

    Education and Experience

    At minimum a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field and a professional license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) valid in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary
    Provides evaluation and treatment services for children from birth to 21 years, with speech-language, hearing, and other communication delays or disorders as well as related oral-motor and feeding disorders.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provides direct therapy and evaluations in accordance with standards established by American Speech Language and Hearing Association and State licensure.
    • Consults with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding treatment, programs, and home intervention programs.
    • Develops and implements treatment plan for each individual client and maintains progress notes.  Documents evaluation results and recommendations.
    • Plans and prepares daily treatment session activities/materials.
    • Completes all documentation and billing required for each client contact using the current EMR system for center-based clients (i.e. daily progress notes, discharge summaries and any other required reports).
    • Understands required documentation formats for each referral sources, BHDS, IU13, etc.
    • Participates in inter-agency meetings, (staff, multi-disciplinary team, department, in- services, IU-13 and MH/MR).
    • Communicates with physicians, families, teachers, payment sources and other professionals regarding treatment, home and school suggestions and coordination of care.
    • Shall be responsible for provision of services in natural environment of assigned clients and shall possess personal mode of transportation to comply with requirement.
    • Maintains upkeep of the Speech Therapy Department by returning equipment to its appropriate location, cleaning equipment as per Infection Control policy, informing department lead of low supplies.
    • Assists in supervising shadow students, speech therapy assistants, volunteers, and orientation of new staff.
    • Actively seeks educational opportunities for professional growth by attending in-house in-service training and at least one outside continuing education conference each year.
    • Maintains required CEUS for licensure and all required referral sources (BHDS)
    • Participates in the supervision of student internships by maintaining contact with all affiliating schools and filling out necessary forms to update records, monitoring and updating student program and manual on a regular basis; supervising students either directly or via supervision of an appointed staff therapist; and evaluating student(s) at midterm and upon completion of affiliation when necessary.
    • Biweekly, hands in time sheets to department lead along with monthly mileage logs.
    • Communicates effectively with scheduling dept, social work dept. and Therapy Aide when required.
    • Participates and supports center events, fundraisers, and functions as needed.

    Education and Experience

    Master of Science/Arts Degree from an approved program of Communication Disorders/ Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent as per Pennsylvania license requirements.

    Directly supervises no employees in the Speech-Language Department. May supervise candidate for CFY

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and professional documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries from parents, case workers, or members of the Early Intervention provider community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Other Skills and Abilities

    Skilled in the use of assistive communication devices, computers and audiometers.
