Schreiber Offers Back to School [We’re All] Specialâ„¢ Program

(Lancaster, PA) – The new school year has begun and Schreiber is offering teachers a disabilities awareness program titled “We’re All Specialâ„¢” that will encourage acceptance and understanding in the preschool through elementary age classroom. The program is designed in such a way that it can be seamlessly integrated into the existing curriculum with no additional work for the instructor.

Schreiber’s We’re All Specialâ„¢ program was designed with inquisitive children in mind. By teaching them about diversity and acceptance at young age, we are creating responsible and caring teens and adults. The We’re All Specialâ„¢ program is run by an experienced Schreiber staff member and includes an educational video introducing four unique boys and girls, an interactive opportunity to try equipment like wheelchairs, crutches, braces and adaptive toys, utensils and other items, and a chance to give back to the Schreiber community through a student Hop-a-thon.

If you are interested in having your preschool or elementary school, daycare, church, or scout meeting participate in Schreiber’s We’re All Specialâ„¢ program, kindly contact Volunteer Coordinator, Marie Johnston, at 717-393-0425 ext. 129 or visit our website at www.schreiberpediatric.org for more information.
