Hit a Homerun for Children with Special Needs! Schreiber Pediatric Plans 30th Annual Softball Weekend

(LANCASTER, Pa.) – Get your popcorn, peanuts and crackerjacks and head out to Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center’s Softball Weekend at Lancaster County Central Park and Froelich Park on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd! The first pitch, thrown at 6 p.m. Friday night, will kick-off 48-hours of non-stop ballpark fun to benefit the nearly 4,000 children with special needs that the Center sees each year.

Teams of twelve to sixteen individuals must raise a minimum of $250 to compete in this year’s Softball Weekend. They can then choose a three-hour time slot to play against a team of the same skill level or participate in Sunday’s tournament play and compete for an engraved trophy, bragging rights and the chance to play the final game in Clipper Stadium. Top prizes this year include a skybox at an upcoming Lancaster Barnstormers’ Game, tickets to Hersheypark, t-shirts, baseball caps and more! Individual players can also register for only $25 and be assigned a team.

Schreiber Pediatric welcomes Softball Weekend spectators. There will be music and food vendors at both park locations. Special thanks to FM97 WLAN, Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation, Red Rose Lodge #16 Fraternal Order of Police and Turkey Hill Minit Markets for their generous support.
