The new event, presented by T-Mobile, will raffle off five coffee cups stuffed with gift cards to local restaurants and businesses.
The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development has a new fundraising idea to kick off its 2021 special events: Schreiber’s Cup O’ Cards.
The event will feature hundreds of dollars in gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. Schreiber will buy the cards, put them in five sponsored coffee cups and sell raffle tickets for the cups, all to raise money for Schreiber. It’s also a way to support some of the local merchants who have been struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. T-Mobile is the presenting sponsor, and M&T Bank sponsored two of the coffee cups. Other sponsors include Atlee Hall, Benchmark Construction and Univest.
“We’re still looking for creative ways to raise money for the kids who need our services, but we want to do it safely,” said Schreiber President James DeBord. “This idea also will allow us to help some of the businesses that have supported us through the years, like Lancaster Dispensing Co. and CR Lapp’s. Raising money for Schreiber and helping the community – I hope people get as excited about this as I am.”
Cup O’ Cards will run from March 15-26, and raffle tickets will be available online via the Cup O’ Cards page at www.schreiberpediatric.org. Proceeds from the first Schreiber Cup O’ Cards will benefit the services and programs of Schreiber — a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that provides physical, occupational and speech-language therapies, as well as educational and recreational programs for thousands of children in central Pennsylvania.
