Schreiber Pediatric partners with Spooky Nook to offer youth program for kids with autism

(LANCASTER, Pa.) — Spooky Nook Sports‘ Run, Jump, Play! with Schreiber Pediatric is an exciting new fitness program for children with autism ages 6-12. Using a variety of games and activities, Spooky Nook has developed an eight-week program that will help children on the autism spectrum improve their fitness and health. A Schreiber specialist and a Spooky Nook youth coach will work with kids on key body movements to build agility, stability, flexibility, endurance and core strength. The program is scheduled to be held twice this winter, the first session starting Nov. 1.

Here are the details:
When: Winter 1 session, 1-2 p.m. Saturdays from Nov. 1-Dec. 20; Winter 2, 1-2 p.m. Saturdays from Jan. 10-Feb. 28.
Where: Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Road, Manheim.
Cost: $100 for one eight-week program.

Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center is a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization that provides physical, occupational and speech-language therapy, as well as educational and recreational programs for nearly 4,000 children in Lancaster County living with congenital and acquired disabilities and developmental delays. Schreiber also provides services for typically developing children, including a PA Stars 4 Star early learning center for children ages 12 months to 5 years.
