Current Volunteer Opportunities

Join us at Schreiber Pediatric through one of our many volunteer opportunities. Together we are committed to serving the needs of children and adolescents in our community. With friendly staff and children who are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, Schreiber is a great place to share your gifts of time and talent. Each volunteer needs to complete clearances to work at Schreiber. Links for clearances are located at the bottom of this webpage.

Check back often as the available opportunities change regularly.

To volunteer for any of the following opportunities contact Susan Fisher at 717-393-0425 ext. 129 or sfisher@schreiberpediatric.org.

Outside tasks

There are several outside tasks that Schreiber needs help with before winter. They can be done individually or with a group. Scheduling is flexible.
-Weeding around the building and behind the stage
-Trimming hedges
-Sanding and staining the outdoor stage
-Clean up leaf and branch debris

During this time we have limited volunteer opportunities in order to keep our children, staff and volunteers safe.

Swim Buddies

Swim Buddies sessions on hold due to COVID-19

Our S.T.A.R.S. Preschool Swim Buddies program provides a partner for each child to participate in swim class once a month during preschool. Sign up and you can have some fun and help our preschool kids learn water safety! All you need is a one-piece bathing suit (or t-shirt) and a towel. The swim instructor will provide directions for the session.

Students:
Continue to watch the site for available opportunities.

When volunteers can return to the center, there are a variety of ways you can help. Respite, summer camps, rec programs, daycare and more!

E-mail Susan at sfisher@schreiberpediatric.org to find what works for you.
