Build social skills by playing games each week this summer
Schreiber’s Board Game and Outdoor Activities Therapeutic Camp, offered by the Behavioral Health Program, will offer children an opportunity to learn and grow by having fun playing games. Participants will work on building social skills with peers, cooperation, teamwork, communication skills, frustration management and following directions through fun board games and outdoor activities. Camp will also include, by popular demand, LEGOs! A Schreiber Behavioral Health therapist will lead the group with the intention of facilitating growth.
The group will be outside, weather permitting. Masks are required even during hot days and physical activities. Each participant must be able to communicate verbally and be able to read, understand and follow basic directions. At the end of the summer, each participant will receive a FREE game to take home to practice skills with family and friends.
Dates: Wednesdays from June 16 to Aug. 11
Time: 9-10:30 a.m.
Location: Schreiber’s Behavioral Health offices, 610 Community Way, Lancaster
