Tickets on sale now for Schreiber’s 29th Annual Rubber Duckie Raceâ„¢

August 1, 2017

Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center presents its 29th Annual Rubber Duckie Raceâ„¢ and Festival Sunday, Sept. 10, in Lancaster County Central Park. Schreiber’s signature fundraising event will again feature up to 25,000 racing ducks bobbing and floating down the Conestoga River.

Schreiber supporters can purchase tickets for the traditional Schreiber Duckie race, and each ticket corresponds to either one of 20,000 yellow ducks or 5,000 blue ducks. Among the yellow ducks, the first 50 across the finish line win prizes for people holding those tickets. For blue ducks, the first 10 finishers can win one of the higher-value prizes, including a Weber grill, a flat-screen TV and a Hyper mountain bike.

Ducks are on sale now at the Center and online at www.schreiberpediatric.org/ducks. They will also be available at various locations around Lancaster County between now and race day. Check the Duckie web page for the latest list of sales locations. For each ticket purchase, supporters receive a souvenir Duckie, and this year’s theme of Fairlyland Festival includes ducks ranging from fairies and trolls to dragons, knights and princesses. Each ticket for a blue duck comes with a limited edition (and rarely seen) unicorn duck.

Here’s the pricing for this year’s yellow duckies:

  • 1 duck is $5
  • A Quack Pack of 3 ducks is $10 (GOOD VALUE)
  • A Family Pack of 10 ducks is $30 (BETTER VALUE)
  • A Flock of 35 ducks is $100 (BEST VALUE)
Tickets for the blue duckies are $20 each.

Please note: Our new, simplified ticketing process will make it easier and quicker to buy and sell tickets, and winning ticketholders must present their stub to claim prizes.

The Rubber Duckie Raceâ„¢ and Festival again fall on the second day of the DuckiePalooza Weekend. The weekend kicks off Saturday, Sept. 9, with the sixth Schreiberpalooza music festival at Clair Brothers in Manheim. This year’s event will feature music from past Palooza favorites the Mama Tried Band, Good2Go and 3rd Power Family Soul, and the fun will last until 11 p.m. Tickets for Schreiberpalooza are available now at www.schreiberpalooza.com/palooza.

Duck supporters and racers are encouraged to then join the family fun on Sept. 10 as the ducks take to the water! The Rubber Duckie Raceâ„¢ & Festival includes carnival games, pony rides, inflatables, face painting, crafts, food vendors and more! The festival kicks-off at 2 p.m. and the racing ducks hit the water at 5 p.m. The ticketholder with the first yellow duck across the finish line will win a $1,000 Visa gift card courtesy of BB&T Bank. The ticketholder who wins among the blue ducks will take home a fantastic Weber grill.

All proceeds from the 29th Annual Rubber Duckie Raceâ„¢ and Festival and Schreiberpalooza benefit the therapy and education programs of Schreiber Pediatric. Please join us for a quacktacular time!
