Schreiber Pediatric 30th Annual Volleyball Bash Benefit Set for Saturday, January 28

(Lancaster, PA) – At 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, volleyball players of all ages and abilities will gather in the Millersville University Student Memorial Fitness Center gymnasium at 1 South George Street, Millersville, to set and spike their way to victory. Schreiber Pediatric’s 30th Annual Volleyball Bash is twelve full hours of non-stop fun to benefit the nearly 4,000 children the Center sees each year.

Teams of six to ten individuals must raise a minimum of $250 to compete in this year’s Volleyball Bash. They will then be assigned an hour and half of playing time against teams of the same skill level. Top prizes this year include t-shirts, sweatshirts, gift certificates to The Volleyball Corner, trophies and prize packs courtesy of FM97 WLAN. Individual players can also register for just $25 and be assigned a team.

In honor of the event’s 30th anniversary, two new events have been added to the weekend. Friday, January 27 from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m. will be “Legends” play. Individuals can register for just $25 and walk-ins are welcome! Teams will be formed that evening. Then starting at 10:00 p.m. is a “Lock-in” for school and club volleyball teams. The “Lock-in” is a team-building opportunity and a chance for some additional practice against other local competitive teams. Music and pizza will be provided. By 6:00 a.m. a tournament winner will be declared and that team will take home an official Volleyball Bash trophy.

Millersville University’s student station WIXQ 91.7 The Ville will be providing music at the event and Tropical Smoothie Lancaster will be selling food to benefit the Center.
