Board-certified specialists complete requirements and in one of only seven specialty areas. Herrmann received her recertification in Pediatrics. She is one of only three Pediatric Clinical Specialists in Lancaster County. The other two Pediatric Clinical Specialists are also employed at the Schreiber Center.
In order to be eligible for recertification, Herrmann had to hold a current certification from ABPTS and meet minimum eligibility requirements, including a current physical therapy license and a minimum number of direct patient care hours since the date of her last certification. Herrmann also completed a competency assessment to achieve recertification. Then Herrmann was recertified by completing a Professional Development Portfolio (PDP). The PDP is a documentation of professional development activities related to specialty practice.
