New President Brings Energy and Outreach to Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center

(LANCASTER, Pa.) –Nationally-recognized Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of James W. DeBord as their new President.

James has extensive experience in the areas of non-profit organizational management, fundraising, research and strategic planning. Before joining Schreiber Pediatric, he was President of DeBord Consulting providing research and strategic planning services to a number of non-profits across the United States. Prior to that, he served as Director of YorkCounts, a non-profit community health and quality of life impact organization.

James is a graduate of Albright College with a B.A. in History/Political Science. He also graduated from Villanova University with a Masters in 20th Century World History with a concentration on International Relations. In addition, James studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Executive Leadership Program within the Keenan-Flagler School of Business.

James is a native of Lancaster County and is married with three children. “I have spent my career focused on strengthening organizations that provide opportunities to improve the lives of children and families. I am honored to have the privilege of serving the Schreiber community and look forward to working with people from across the community,” DeBord said.

Schreiber Board Chairman James M. Darby stated, “We are excited having an experienced non-profit executive such as James leading Schreiber into the future, as we grow and continue the 76-year old tradition of providing premier rehabilitative services for the children of Lancaster County and surrounding communities.”
