Lititz Chocolate Walk Raises $10,000 for Schreiber Pediatric

(LANCASTER, Pa.) – On Monday, November 15, the Kiwanas Club of Lititz Area presented a check for $10,000 to Schreiber Pediatric’s president, Mr. William Jefferson, at the Lititz Public Library. The gift is a result of the 9th Annual Lititz Chocolate Walk which took place on Saturday, October 11, 2010 and raised funds for the Lititz Public Library, Kiwanis Club youth activities, as well as the Center.

Over the past nine years, the Lititz Chocolate Walk has now raised more than $57,000 for Schreiber Pediatric in support of its services to children with special needs in community. Schreiber Pediatric is extremely thankful for the continued success of the event and recognizes that success is dependent upon the participation and sponsorship of dozens of local businesses, clubs and organizations, as well as the time and energy of hundreds volunteers! A special acknowledgement was given to the Kiwanis Club, Wilbur Chocolate Co. and the thirty Lititz retailers who hosted the ‘sweet stops’ on behalf of the Center.

Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center is a not-for-profit organization that provides family-centered education and therapy programs for infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired disabilities and developmental delays.
