Hit a Homerun for Children with Special Needs!

(LANCASTER, Pa.)-Get your popcorn, peanuts and crackerjacks and head out to Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center’s Softball Weekend at Lancaster County Central Park and Froelich Park on June 4th, 5th and 6th! The first pitch, thrown at 6 p.m. Friday night, will kick-off 48-hours of non-stop ballpark fun to benefit the nearly 4,000 children with special needs that the Center sees each year.

Teams of twelve to sixteen individuals must raise a minimum of $250 to compete in this year’s Softball Weekend. They can then choose a three-hour time slot to play against a team of the same skill level or participate in Sunday’s NEW tournament play for an engraved trophy and bragging rights. Top prizes this year include a skybox at an upcoming Lancaster Barnstormers’ Game, tickets to Hersheypark, t-shirts, baseball caps and more! Individual players can also register for only $25 and be assigned a team.

Schreiber Pediatric welcomes Softball Weekend spectators. There will be music, food vendors, raffles and a car show. Special thanks to FM97 WLAN, FM 90.3 WJTL, Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation, E & E Metal Fab., Inc. and the Red Rose Lodge #16 Fraternal Order of Police for their generous support.
