Hit a Home Run for Children with Special Needs

(LANCASTER, Pa.) -— Get your popcorn, peanuts and crackerjacks and head out to Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center’s Softball Weekend at Froelich Park in Mountville on June 5-7, 2015. The first pitch, to be thrown at 6 p.m. Friday night, will kick-off 48 hours of non-stop ballpark fun to benefit the thousands of children with special needs that the Center serves each year.
Teams of 12 to 16 individuals must raise a minimum amount of money to compete in the Marathon Softball Weekend. They can then choose a three-hour time slot to play against a team of the same skill level ($300 minimum) or participate in Sunday’s tournament play ($500 minimum) and compete for an engraved trophy and bragging rights. Top prizes this year include a skybox at an upcoming Lancaster Barnstormers’ game, tickets to Hersheypark, T-shirts, cooler bags and more! Individual players can also register for only $25 and be assigned to a team.
Schreiber Pediatric welcomes Softball Weekend spectators. There will be music and delicious food served by the Manheim Sertoma all weekend. Special thanks to Red Rose Lodge #16 Fraternal Order of Police, Lancaster Toyota, FM97 and Froelich Park for their generous support.
