Coffee for a Cause

(LANCASTER, Pa.)-Enjoying a cup of coffee on Friday, April 23, could mean supporting a child with special needs. Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center’s COFFEE DAYâ„¢ Campaign starts Friday, April 9 and runs through Friday, April 23. During this two week fundraiser, community members can purchase $1 or $10 COFFEE DAYâ„¢ cards at participating restaurants, local Susquehanna Bank branches and Schreiber Pediatric to be redeemed on COFFEE DAYâ„¢, Friday, April 23, for a free cup of joe! Proceeds benefit Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center and the nearly 4,000 children it serves each year.

The event kick-off will take place at Gus’s Family Restaurant, Mount Joy. The 2010 Schreiber Pediatric Ambassadors will visit restaurant patrons along with Lancaster Barnstormers’ Cylo and WIOV’s Murf & Casey from the Morning Show. Additional special events include an All-You-Can-Eat Chicken Pot Pie Dinner at Lapp’s Family Restaurant (Monday, April 12), Barbecue Under the Bridge (Saturday, April 17) and Basket Bingo at Revere Tavern (Monday, April 19).

New this year is an opportunity to redeem cards at Schreiber Pediatric. Stop in on COFEE DAYâ„¢, April 23rd, for cake, ice cream, and coffee, of course! For a complete listing of participating restaurants and special events, please visit us on the web at www.schreiberpediatric.org.

Schreiber Pediatric is the only outpatient pediatric rehab facility in Pennsylvania accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and one of only six in the entire United States. The Center offers support to any family in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
