  • Child Care Providers (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary

    In this position you will help develop and implement educational programs for children 6 wks. to five years old in the Child Care settings in cooperation with the child’s family, outside agencies, and staff members.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Ensure the provision of nutritious snacks and lunches
    • Provide adequate equipment and activities
    • Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
    • Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities
    • Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities
    • Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts
    • Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies
    • Be familiar with emergency procedures
    • Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities and their child’s progress
    • Develop and maintain current, accurate and confidential client files
    • Ensure children are supervised at all times
    • Establish routines and provide positive guidance
    • Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
    • Implement positive discipline when required

    Education and Experience

    A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.

  • Licensed Mental Health Therapist (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary
    The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will be responsible for providing outpatient clinical mental health therapy for a wide range of diagnoses to individuals ages 3 to 20 years old and their families. Our behavioral therapy for kids specializes in creating an individualized treatment plan designed to effectively meet the specific goals of each child and family.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Conducts individual therapy and family therapy sessions in the office and via teletherapy.
    • Conducts crisis intervention during the course of scheduled appointments with current clients.
    • Complies with mandated reporting per Pennsylvania state law and submit any reports online to Pennsylvania’s Child Welfare Information Solution, as well as report any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Director of Outpatient Mental Health/Behavioral Health, Family Support Coordinator, and other staff.
    • Balances authenticity and care while maintaining professional boundaries and behavior in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards during interactions with clients, staff, and community.
    • Adheres to the requirements and regulations as set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of State Health Services and Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
    • Adheres to the requirements and regulations as set forth by Pennsylvania’s State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors and based on clinical licensure.
    • Maintains professional licensure as mental health clinician in good standing based on completion of required continuing education units.
    • Conducts and enters into the electronic medical record within 48 hours, psychosocial assessments, therapy session notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
    • Enters documentation into the electronic medical record according to regulatory, payer, and departmental standards.
    • For a caseload of 30 clients, conducts clinically therapeutic and goal-oriented treatment sessions that are within the scope of training, certification, experience, and licensure.
    • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) Regulations.

    Education and Experience

    • A minimum of a Master’s degree from a CACREP accredited college or university in the field of psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
    • Full/unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of Pennsylvania (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
    • Minimum one (1) year experience in the provision of individual therapy, family therapy, or group therapy to children, adolescents, or young adults. Application of theoretical orientations that have included, but are not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, and systemic family therapy approaches.

  • Physical Therapist (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary
    Design individualized programs to develop and improve each child’s motion, strength, balance, alignment, and movement skills. Using a combination of evidence-based techniques, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices, you will help children reach their full potential and achieve developmental milestones.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Administers physical therapy evaluations and treatment in accordance with standards established by the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development and the American Physical Therapy Association. Documents evaluation results and recommendations in a formal report.
    • Develops individual goal plan for each client in conjunction with client, family and other professionals.
    • Plans and prepares daily treatment session activities/materials based on established goal plan.
    • Completes all documentation and billing required for each client contact using the current EMR system for center-based clients (i.e. daily progress notes, discharge summaries and any other required reports).
    • Participates in inter-agency meetings, (full staff, multi-disciplinary team, department, I.U. #13 and BH/DS meetings and in-service training).
    • Actively seeks educational opportunities for professional growth by attending in-house in-service training and at least one outside continuing education conference each year.
    • Participates and supports center events, fundraising, and functions as needed

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited program of Physical Therapy.  Past working experience or internship in a pediatric setting preferred.  Specialty Certification (NDT, Pediatric) desired.
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Member or eligible for membership to the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (FT) Monday-Friday

    Position Summary
    Provides evaluation and treatment services for children from birth to 21 years, with speech-language, hearing, and other communication delays or disorders as well as related oral-motor and feeding disorders.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provides direct therapy and evaluations in accordance with standards established by American Speech Language and Hearing Association and State licensure.
    • Consults with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding treatment, programs, and home intervention programs.
    • Develops and implements treatment plan for each individual client and maintains progress notes.  Documents evaluation results and recommendations.
    • Plans and prepares daily treatment session activities/materials.
    • Completes all documentation and billing required for each client contact using the current EMR system for center-based clients (i.e. daily progress notes, discharge summaries and any other required reports).
    • Understands required documentation formats for each referral sources, BHDS, IU13, etc.
    • Participates in inter-agency meetings, (staff, multi-disciplinary team, department, in- services, IU-13 and MH/MR).
    • Communicates with physicians, families, teachers, payment sources and other professionals regarding treatment, home and school suggestions and coordination of care.
    • Shall be responsible for provision of services in natural environment of assigned clients and shall possess personal mode of transportation to comply with requirement.
    • Maintains upkeep of the Speech Therapy Department by returning equipment to its appropriate location, cleaning equipment as per Infection Control policy, informing department lead of low supplies.
    • Assists in supervising shadow students, speech therapy assistants, volunteers, and orientation of new staff.
    • Actively seeks educational opportunities for professional growth by attending in-house in-service training and at least one outside continuing education conference each year.
    • Maintains required CEUS for licensure and all required referral sources (BHDS)
    • Participates in the supervision of student internships by maintaining contact with all affiliating schools and filling out necessary forms to update records, monitoring and updating student program and manual on a regular basis; supervising students either directly or via supervision of an appointed staff therapist; and evaluating student(s) at midterm and upon completion of affiliation when necessary.
    • Biweekly, hands in time sheets to department lead along with monthly mileage logs.
    • Communicates effectively with scheduling dept, social work dept. and Therapy Aide when required.
    • Participates and supports center events, fundraisers, and functions as needed.

    Education and Experience

    Master of Science/Arts Degree from an approved program of Communication Disorders/ Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent as per Pennsylvania license requirements.
