‘Music from the Heart’ Concert Raises nearly $1,700 for Schreiber Pediatric

(Lancaster, PA) – When Kim Shank and Jason Rieker were planning the ‘Music from the Heart’ benefit concert for Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center, they had no idea what sort of response they would get from the local community. “I was astonished at the turnout we had!” said Rieker after over two-hundred-and-fifty people filled the pews at Faith United Church of Christ, Lancaster, last Saturday night.
The audience was in for a real treat. They enjoyed music from vocalists, Adam Good and Christine Loos, saxophonist, Jason Rieker, barbershop quintet, The McCoy Boys, Christian band, Eternity, and pianists Krista and Gage Grasty accompanied by Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren’s bell choir. Bryan Jordan from FM 97’s Morning Rush MC’d the event, filling the interludes with information about Schreiber Pediatric’s many services to the children in Lancaster County and surrounding areas.
‘Music from the Heart’ has already raised nearly $1,700 for Schreiber Pediatric and donations continue to pour in. “[The evening] was such a success, we are most likely going to try and make [it] an annual event,” said Rieker. Schreiber Pediatric is thankful for the generous support of the Rieker Family, the Shank Family and all the other contributors who made this evening so special.
