Family ResourcesToy Lending LibraryThe Toy Lending Library is a resource of adaptive toys for children with disabilities who may have difficulty using typical toys. Children who receive therapy services at Schreiber Pediatric may borrow a toy for two weeks at no charge. Center therapists and teachers can help families select appropriate toys that are best suited for their child's needs. Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Lending LibraryPennsylvania Assistive Technology Lending Library's local branch is Schreiber Pediatric. The library is a free service that enables families with a child with disabilities to try various assistive technology devices to determine which device is best suited for their needs. The Center assists families by sharing information on specific assistive devices and how to borrow them, offers guidance on how to obtain funding for equipment and assists with equipment loan applications. Resource LibraryA Resource Library is available to all families who receive services at the Center. The Social Service staff is constantly adding new titles and materials that may help children and their parents understand diagnosis and learn new coping techniques. |
