The Extraordinary Give is coming

The Extraordinary Give is less than two months away. Remember, this is the day of online giving organized by the Lancaster County Community Foundation to support participating central Pennsylvania nonprofits. The past few years, thanks to your generous support, we have been fortunate to finish among the top 10 nonprofits in terms of dollars raised and donations received. And that money has helped us provide services for kids like Shelby Stroman and Kami Appleby. With your help, we can do that again this year. Here's the plan.

'Amazing little guy' learning to play with friends

LJ Hamer, a 5-year-old Schreiber kiddo, chatted noisily next to his grandmother as they waited for a speech therapy session to begin. Sometimes his speech slipped into hard-to-understand phrases or didn't-make-sense chatter, but the smile never left his face.
