For nearly 70 years, the Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center has provided services for children with disabilities and developmental delays. From a one-room carriage house in Lancaster to our present facility on Community Way, our organization has made many changes and we have grown significantly.
Eight years ago, Schreiber Center staff treated almost 650 children each year. Today, our clients number almost 4,000. As Lancaster County continues to grow, the demand for our services is expected to increase as well. Five percent of the children born in Lancaster County each year will need our services sometime in the future.
The Schreiber Center is expanding to serve every child who needs our services today and those who may need our services tomorrow. Our expansion will include enlarged therapy areas, a therapeutic swimming pool, sensory testing laboratory, a day care center, a life skills laboratory and on-site recreational programs.
